As NYFW started last weekend and finished yesterday, I had only realised a week ago that the event had rebranded. And I didn’t know this until I tried to find MBFW via Twitter, to which nothing turned up. Turns out the event had switched sponsors, whilst the event’s company WME-IMG has taken the lead in rebranding the event. There’s a new website, new locations (courtesy of Skylight Group & Milk Studios) and of course, a new logo.

I’m liking the new logo. It’s slick and edgy in a uniformed fashion. It would work brilliantly in any colour and is WAY better than what the Council of Fashion Designers of America were proposing. The locations are less in numbers and are less sporadically spread out. The website has a clean look with the use of black and white images & text that gives it a more sophisticated, film noir feel about it. I’ve also included the best looks from NYFW (selected just these ones to show was not easy!) The best looks comes from Carolina Herrera, Marchesa & Naeem Khan. You can see them and the Top 5 looks from some of the best NYFW SS16 shows on Pinterest.
