First off, THANK GOD they brought back the Start Menu for Windows 10. Using Windows 8 was almost like the operating system lovechild of Crystal Maze and Tetris (well to me it was anyway, it was confusing to navigate!)
The first set of details about Windows 10, the new OS by Windows were released today and it seems to in some way make use of some of the previous features found in both Windows 7 and 8. It’s said that the operating system will power PCs, tablets and mobiles. The new system will contain more features for apps, kitted out for business and entrepreneur users, updated touch UI, a revamped Command Prompt (about time) and new features such as ‘Snap Assist’ and ‘Continum’. Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore was heard at the preview saying: “We want Windows 7 users to feel like they upgraded from a [Toyota] Prius to a Tesla, but they don’t need to learn a new way to drive.”
Will Windows 10 be the best Windows OS yet? We’ll have to wait until its worldwide debut in 2015 to find out. Here’s hoping for the best! For more information, the new Windows 10 OS is featured in an article via the BBC News here.
