Moving photoshop images?
How slick is that?
It’s actually called a cinemagraph. It’s nothing new but designers are incorporating these skills more and more. They look like GIFs, which have been around for ages, but cinemagraphs are different. Standard GIF’s are usually either video captures or animation. Cinemagraphs are a combination of both still photography and video, but can be saved as a GIF file. You can create them by using editing software, such as Photoshop or Mircosoft Blink (Cliplets). It’s mostly taking the still images and/or video shots and arranging them into a sequenced loop of frames that have been stitched together smoothly. Hongkiat has provided links to how to create cinemagraphs. Although it may take a bit of time doing, the tutorials are relatively easy to learn and they are written for beginners. Definitely something we’re gonna have to try out.
